Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting essential accounting functions, including reconciliations and analysis, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibility:

Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy and consistency
Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify outstanding balances and trends
Review audit findings and assist in implementing necessary corrections
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to validate financial records
Monitor and analyze financial trends to support informed decision-making
Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Support month-end and year-end closing activities to meet deadlines
Address discrepancies and work to resolve accounting issues promptly
Maintain compliance with company policies and relevant regulations

Requirements:

Proven experience in account reconciliations and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of preparing and analyzing aging reports
Familiarity with reviewing and addressing audit findings
Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations accurately
Analytical skills to identify and interpret financial trends
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Legally authorized to work in the United States
