NewStore is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Global Accounting team located across 4 entities in the US, Germany, Netherlands, and UK. You will play a key role in supporting our global accounting team in day-to-day operations. You will also help ensure a smooth and efficient month-end close and drive process improvements with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and operational discipline. Job Responsibility:
Support day-to-day accounting operations across a global team, while actively contributing to key areas of the month-end close to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial results to maintain a high standard of accuracy and completeness
Support a smooth and efficient month-end close process, identifying opportunities to improve timelines and workflows
Support the annual audit process, including helping prepare deliverables and responding to auditor requests, in partnership with the Corporate Controller
Partner with the team to ensure US and Local GAAP compliance across global entities, reviewing key areas and escalating complex issues as needed

Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to improvements, leveraging automation and technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Learn and apply best practices for accounting processes and financial reporting
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and other teams to support business initiatives and ensure alignment with accounting processes
Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives as necessary
Requirements:
1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
Understanding of US GAAP and core accounting principles
Public accounting experience, preferred
CPA certified or actively pursuing, preferred
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
Exposure to multiple entities or international subsidiaries preferred
Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, with overall comfort across Microsoft and Google Workspace tools
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
