Staff Accountant

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports to support decision-making processes
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Reconcile accounts, including general ledger and bank accounts, to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and regulations
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic financial planning
• Conduct detailed reviews of balance sheets and journal entries to ensure proper documentation
• Implement and maintain accounting controls to enhance cost efficiency and reduce errors
• Collaborate with team members to deliver financial insights and support organizational goals
• Stay informed about GAAP standards and industry practices to ensure adherence to best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in financial accounting, general ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with strong skills in budgeting and forecasting
• Solid understanding of GAAP standards and their application in daily accounting practices
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to provide actionable financial recommendations
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders

Experience in the retail or grocery sector is preferred, but not required
