Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accurate financial records, supporting compliance, and assisting with financial reporting. Your contributions will help ensure the organization maintains sound financial practices and meets its operational goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Record and post journal entries in compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards
  • Reconcile accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing necessary adjustments
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts to reflect accurate financial data
  • Support the development of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide necessary documentation and explanations for internal and external audits
  • Manage fixed asset schedules and maintain accurate depreciation records
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of tax-related topics, including corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax returns
  • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
  • Experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Ability to handle accounts payable and receivable functions effectively
  • Familiarity with fixed asset management and depreciation schedules
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to accuracy
