Job Responsibility
Perform complex monthly cash and escrow account reconciliations, ensuring high accuracy and proactive resolution of discrepancies
Lead the accounting for complex transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and Build-to-Suit projects. Prepare advanced journal entries and comprehensive reporting files
Independently reconcile third-party financial statements with the Company’s books, identifying and solving accounting gaps
Analyze and manage intercompany and related-party transactions, overseeing reconciliations and ensuring proper eliminations
Prepare detailed balance sheet analyses and in-depth income statement variance/fluctuation reports to provide actionable insights for stakeholders
Responsible for the preparation of local GAAP financial statements (micro/small entities) and serving as the primary point of contact during statutory audits
Full responsibility for VAT return preparation, filing, and ensuring all other tax-related obligations are met
Respond to complex ad hoc reporting requests from Asset Management, Treasury, Legal, and Tax departments, acting as a trusted advisor
Drive the forecasting process and conduct advanced actual-to-budget analyses to support strategic decision-making
Proactively identify, design, and implement process improvement projects to enhance efficiency within the Accounting department
Requirements
University degree in Accounting or Finance
professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or KIBR) started or completed will be a strong asset
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in accounting, ideally within an international corporate environment or a Big 4 firm
Deep and thorough knowledge of accounting procedures (local GAAP and/or IFRS) and tax regulations
Proficiency in English and Polish (both written and verbal), with the ability to explain complex financial issues to non-financial stakeholders
Strong attention to detail combined with a high-level business perspective
High self-motivation with a can-do approach and a focus on process automation/optimization
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
