Staff Accountant

• Analyze financial operations, trends, and obligations to forecast future revenues and expenses
• Prepare and maintain budgets, comparing actual costs against projections to identify variances
• Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of financial records and transaction entries
• Generate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Advise management on resource allocation, budget assumptions, and tax strategies
• Develop and refine accounting systems for budgeting, cost tracking, and tax compliance
• Compute taxes owed and ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related documents
• Conduct audits of contracts and financial transactions to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive chart of accounts
• Adapt accounting processes to leverage the latest computerized systems for efficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• a master’s degree is preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
• 3 years with a master’s degree
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, tax regulations, and reporting standards
• Proficiency in preparing corporate tax returns, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and monthly financial closing processes
• Ability to analyze complex data, solve problems, and present findings effectively
• Experience in manufacturing, transportation, or retail industries is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to meet company insurance requirements
