We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, and providing comprehensive accounting support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting for multifamily properties and proficiency with tools such as QuickBooks and AppFolio.
Job Responsibility:
Upload receipts and track expenses to ensure accurate financial records
Perform full reconciliations to maintain consistency and accuracy in accounts
Organize and sustain clean and up-to-date financial books
Develop and standardize processes for recurring bill payments
Create efficient workflows for bill payment and approvals
Obtain necessary payment approvals and ensure timely outgoing payments
Prepare balance sheets and provide detailed financial reports
Deliver clear financial visibility across multiple property portfolios
Act as the primary in-house accounting liaison, addressing financial inquiries and concerns
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in multifamily housing
Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, and AppFolio software
Solid understanding of corporate tax and sales tax regulations
Experience with journal entries, including preparation, posting, and reconciliation
Strong knowledge of general ledger systems and month-end processes
Ability to manage financial operations for multifamily properties
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical skills
Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
