Job Description:

We have an exciting Staff Accountant opportunity at the Four Seasons Head Office as a who will be responsible for transaction processing, accounting analysis, reporting and other administrative duties in the Corporate Finance Department. The Staff Accountant will also be involved with continuous process improvements and department projects. The Staff Accountant may be assigned to various functions, including: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger / Reconciliation, Global Programs, Payroll or Global Entities. As development opportunities arise, the Staff Accountant may rotate through one or more Corporate Finance functions listed above.

Job Responsibility:

Transaction Processing and Administration: Process financial transactions and/or data input on admin systems
Identify, investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies
Handle routine accounting or administrative inquiries
Identify and implement continuous process and efficiency improvements
Accounting, Journal Entries and Reconciliation: Prepare SUN Balance Sheet and P&L journal entries
Document and maintain accounting models
Use Blackline to reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts
Support internal and external audit / tax requests
Support commodity tax filings
Analysis and Reporting: Analyze accounting data to identify trends and issues
Develop and produce reports to support key business insights
Support Corporate Finance dashboard development
Continuous Process Improvement and Projects: Review and document existing accounting processes and procedures
Develop and maintain control procedures
Participate in team and department projects
Act as back-up to other team members

Requirements:

2-3 years of accounting experience
University degree with Business, Finance or Accounting major
Completion or working towards professional accounting designation
Experience and knowledge of a computerized GL / accounting system (experience with SUN is an asset)
Expert in MS Excel (Advanced), Word, SharePoint
Familiarity with MS Excel Macros, VBA, SQL, PowerBI, Dodeca, HFM

Nice to have:

Working competence in a second language would be considered an asset
