We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in American Fork, Utah. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for an individual with strong accounting skills who thrives in a collaborative environment. Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
  • Manage the general ledger and ensure it is updated and reconciled regularly
  • Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting tools to track and report financial data
  • Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions
  • Complete month-end close processes, including preparing financial statements
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial accounts
  • Apply advanced Excel formulas to streamline reporting and data analysis
  • Collaborate with team members to support audits and compliance requirements
  • Provide insights on improving financial processes and workflows
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles
  • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including formulas
  • Experience with performing bank reconciliations and month-end close processes
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices
