Staff Accountant

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, with a focus on accrual accounting
• Conduct detailed variance analysis for both balance sheet and income statement items
• Oversee and support month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Manage bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, maintaining accuracy and completeness
• Provide general accounting support to ensure day-to-day financial operations run smoothly
• Assist in maintaining financial integrity during system transitions or implementations
• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with corporate tax and sales tax requirements
• Review and maintain general ledger accounts to uphold financial accuracy
• Support the preparation of corporate tax returns and related filings

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant or general accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and month-end close processes
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and explaining variances effectively
• Solid experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger management
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables (no advanced formulas required)
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with corporate tax and sales tax processes

Experience with ERP systems, particularly during transitions or implementations, is a plus
