Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic and meticulous environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing corporate tax processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Manage sales tax processes, including calculations and timely submissions
  • Record journal entries and maintain organized financial documentation
  • Reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity
  • Review and analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax laws in all financial operations
  • Provide detailed reports and analysis to assist in strategic decision-making
  • Monitor and update tax-related documentation and procedures as regulations evolve
  • Assist with audits by supplying necessary data and documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience in corporate tax processes and filings
  • Strong knowledge of sales tax procedures and regulations
  • Proficiency in preparing accurate journal entries
  • Familiarity with general ledger maintenance and reconciliation
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements effectively
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance
