We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Seabrook, New Hampshire. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Senior Accountant and Controller by handling a variety of accounting tasks. This is a dynamic position that offers opportunities to engage in payroll processing, accounts management, and financial reporting in a light manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibility:
Process weekly payroll for over 50 employees using Workday
Oversee accounts receivable activities, including generating invoices and managing collections
Handle accounts payable transactions and maintain strong relationships with vendors
Prepare and submit state sales tax filings while ensuring compliance with regulations
Assist with month-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and job cost reporting
Collaborate with senior leadership and external accounting partners on financial matters
Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and enhance operational efficiency
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accounting team members
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a project-based or service industry
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Enterprise
Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor other team members
Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
Comfortable working independently in a small business setting
Nice to have:
Familiarity with TotalSource, multi-state sales tax, or prevailing wage processes
