Job Description:

We are actively partnering with multiple clients across the Central New Jersey area who are seeking Staff Accountants on an ongoing basis. These roles are contract and contract to hire opportunities that support various different industries in the area. If you’re open to hearing about new opportunities, we’d love to connect and keep you in mind as openings arise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, intercompany, etc.)
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
  • Analyze financial data and investigate variances
  • Assist with financial reporting and audit support
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Participate in process improvements and system implementations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–5+ years of accounting experience (public or industry)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
