Job Description

Our organization is working alongside local clients in the Woodland Hills, CA to fill ongoing Staff Accountant positions. We are looking for experienced Staff Accountants with a background in the CPA Firms to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a thorough understanding of auditing principles, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. Reporting to the Senior Accountant or Manager, the Staff Accountant will play a vital role in providing accounting, auditing, and tax services to our clients while adhering to professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the annual budgeting process and assist in the development of financial forecasts to guide business decisions
  • Assisting in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Providing support during internal and external audits, including preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on auditing and taxation, preferably in a CPA firm environment
  • Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in financial statement preparation, auditing procedures, and tax compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to upholding professional standards, ethics, and integrity in all engagements

Nice to have

  • CPA certification preferred
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and audit tools (e.g., Caseware, IDEA) preferred
