Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Southlake, Texas. This is a long-term contract position that will initially provide maternity leave coverage and requires a candidate with strong expertise in accrual accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. The ideal applicant will play a crucial role in maintaining accuracy and efficiency across accounting operations while collaborating in a structured environment.

Job Responsibility:

Facilitate month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Prepare and record revenue accruals within a structured close cycle
Generate detailed client reports based on booked revenue data
Create and issue expense invoices to clients with precision
Conduct financial analyses and maintain accurate accrual records
Ensure all financial reporting meets high standards of accuracy and compliance
Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIFs, to manage and analyze data
Process accounting entries and generate reports using Dynamics GP software
Collaborate with the team during a 1–2 week onsite training period and maintain consistent productivity
Provide support for tax-related tasks, including sales tax and corporate tax return preparation

Requirements:

Proven experience in accrual accounting and month-end financial close processes
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and invoice preparation
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to work with formulas, PivotTables, and other functions
Familiarity with Dynamics GP for accounting entries and report generation
Strong understanding of corporate tax, sales tax, and journal entries
Ability to manage general ledger activities effectively
Excellent organizational and analytical skills to support structured accounting operations
Availability to work onsite during training and maintain an onsite presence on designated days
