Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting close process. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes as the accounting team prepares to operate as a public company. You will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of assigned areas, including preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and conducting flux analysis
  • Responsible for accounting activities related to cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intangibles
  • Provide detailed reports and analyses to internal stakeholders to support financial reporting and decision-making
  • Assist in responding to audit requests
  • Ensure that all accounting practices comply with internal controls and external regulations
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and practices
  • Build and use AI agents to automate daily activities
  • Support other special projects as they arise

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably Big 4 public accounting or high-growth company experience
  • CPA or working towards CPA designation
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented accountant with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Process-oriented and curious, with an interest in leveraging AI, automation, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment
