Job Description:

A well-established and growing professional services firm is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This opportunity offers the chance to play a pivotal role in the firm’s financial operations while contributing to a forward-looking modernization effort. Job Responsibility:

Accounts Payable: Manage light AP processing and assist with wire transfers and client funds
Bank Reconciliations: Partner with the team to reconcile trust accounts and ensure accuracy of high-volume transactional ledgers
Wire Transfers: Monitor, verify, and execute wire transfers while ensuring proper documentation and compliance
General Ledger Reviews: Review thousands of ledger entries to ensure financial balance and correct allocation of funds
Backup Payroll Support: Serve as a secondary resource for payroll processing and compliance
Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to transactions, accounts, and retainers

Requirements:

At least 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience in a high-transaction environment
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Preferred Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or similar. Equivalent relevant experience also considered.

Ability to pick up industry-specific accounting concepts and firm-specific processes quickly
