The role involves a broad range of functions including payroll processing, benefit administration, basic accounting tasks, and clerical duties in support of the Business Office.
Job Responsibility:
Handle the processing of payroll in an accurate and timely manner
Administer employee benefits, including open enrollment elections and changes throughout the year
Maintain and create new permanent files, ensuring efficient record retention and filing
Perform accounting tasks related to payroll, including reconciliation
Ensure compliance with regulations such as ACA, HIPAA, FLSA
Assist in risk management and audit preparation
Support in the creation and tracking of the operating budget
Disseminate HR-related information to all employees
Keep track of employee training and clearances
Meet all disclosure and reporting requirements
Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial & Operating Officer
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a Staff Accountant/Payroll role
Proficient in using QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Basic and Full Charge Bookkeeping
Understanding of Benefits a plus
Experience with Payroll - Garnishments and Payroll - Multi-State
