Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant/Accounting Clerk to join our team in Plymouth, Minnesota. This is a reduced hours role, ~30 hours per week. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records and processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with expertise in QuickBooks and a strong background in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process and manage Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Handle Accounts Receivable tasks, including invoicing and monitoring collections
  • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain financial records and generate reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with preparing financial statements and monthly closings
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of accounting activities
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting efforts
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory standards
  • Provide support during audits by supplying necessary documentation and information

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices
  • Ability to reconcile accounts and handle discrepancies effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently
