Job Description:

Staff Accountant - Hybrid / Boston, MA. Our client, an established organization within the nonprofit sector, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support an accounting systems integration project and assist with core financial operations. This role centers on detailed reconciliation work, validating financial data between systems, and supporting the transition into steady-state accounting once the integration stabilizes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform detailed bank and account reconciliations involving high volumes of historical data
  • Validate, map, and organize financial information within accounting software
  • Research discrepancies and work through missing or incomplete transaction data
  • Ensure financial and revenue information transfers accurately between internal systems
  • Partner closely with leadership to support data cleanup and documentation efforts
  • Assist with accounting activities supporting month‑end, year‑end, and audit preparation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains preferred
  • Exposure to system integrations or ERP transitions a plus
