As an SSC buddy, you will be present at the Student Success Centre to offer support to students. You will help with questions regarding studies, support, and social connection, and refer students to the right place when needed. In addition, you will choose one or more specializations to further develop your skills, such as peer-to-peer coaching, language coaching, event organization, supporting international students, or social media.
Job Responsibility
You staff the SSC during drop-in hours
You support students through peer-to-peer contact
You work together with the buddy team and coordinators
You participate in training sessions and team meetings
You focus on one chosen specialization: language, events, international students, social media, or coaching
You participate in information and promotional activities for the SSC, as well as community events
Requirements
You have an affinity with student wellbeing and support
You are social, approachable, and reliable, and you can work well both independently and in a team
You are willing to participate in the mandatory training
You are available between 3 and 8 hours a week
