Turner Lovell are supporting a major delivery partner on National Grid substation projects across the UK, and they’re looking to bring in an experienced TP137/ SR163 Site Supervisor to take control of critical site activities. This is a hands-on leadership role working on live HV environments, coordinating multiple workstreams, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with National Grid standards. If you’ve operated at the supervisor level on NGET sites and can hit the ground running, this is a strong long-term opportunity.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities within National Grid substations
Ensure full compliance with TP137 and National Grid procedures
Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver works safely and on programme
Oversee permit systems, RAMS, and site documentation
Interface with client representatives, engineers, and project teams
Drive high standards of HSEQ across all activities
Requirements:
TP137/SR163 - National Grid Competent Person / Site Supervisor (Eligible for nomination)
EUSR or CSCS (Supervisor Level)
SMSTS or SSSTS
Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS)
HSG47 - Avoiding Danger from Underground Services
Asbestos Awareness
First Aid at Work (or Emergency First Aid minimum)
