Job Description:

Job involves drafting, modeling, and coordination responsibilities in structural steel field, requiring expertise in Tekla and AutoCAD software.

Job Responsibility:

Examines documents such as drawings and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data according to contract drawing in order to complex projects
Prepares complex 2D drawings, erection drawings and 3D modeling based on data from engineering and architectural documents
Confers with TL (and customers as required) to obtain missing information and to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents and proposes suggestions and solutions
Consults with supervisor and customer (as required) for any special and complex design considerations
Independently incorporates changes from checked drawings
Collects, documents, and records information affecting the scope of work and keeps it organized in the job folder
Incorporates and compiles any possible adjustments or changes made necessary by revised documents
Routinely performs work on high level complex projects (special products, non-standard)
Ability to train and teach methods and processes to less experienced drafters
Utilizes computer assisted drafting (Tekla/SDS2) equipment and software
Participates in the enhancement of the software to facilitate the work process
Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, co-workers, clients and supervisors
Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Minimum 8 years of experience in structural steel field as Coordinator
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, drawings and job specifications
Ability to operate necessary computer software
Ability to communicate effectively with team leader and customer in English
Software proficiency in Tekla and AutoCAD
