Job Description:

The Sr. Manager, Supply Planning is a key role in the Supply Planning team and reports directly to the VP, Strategic Planning and S&OP. This individual is responsible for generating production forecasts across various product categories to deliver service rates to our customers, maintain efficient factory operations, manage finish goods inventory levels, and mitigate risk of obsolete inventory. The Sr. Manager, Supply Planning will also focus on immediate tactical projects, as well as medium-term analyses. They will have ownership of the “Step 3 Supply Review” Process, a key pillar in the company-wide IBP process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and maintain a stable link between production needs and capabilities as well as supply chain efforts and Sales plans
  • Lead cross-functional monthly IBP Supply Review meeting and ensure effectiveness of weekly ITP (S&OE) process
  • Mitigate risk by making necessary adjustments to minimize inventory excess and shortages
  • Oversee all inventory management responsibilities, metrics, and strategy
  • Manage production planning and scheduling functions (MPS)
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and co-mans on execution strategy of materials and capacity utilization
  • Identify and drive continuous enhancements in our ERP system (i.e., forecasting, MRP, allocation, and co-man planning)
  • Direct production capacity, output, and supply planning
  • Assure supply chain strategy is aligned with sales projections
  • Participate / Lead special projects and assignments, as required
  • Participate in all other miscellaneous SMPL and departmental tasks, as required
  • Attend departmental/cross-functional meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Finance or related fields, required
  • Additional education and training in Supply Chain Management, strongly desired
  • 8+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning (i.e., Demand, Merchandise, Inventory, Supply Planning)
  • 4-6 years of experience leading and developing teams with a focus on engagement and growth
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an FMCG Supply Chain
  • Management Skills (team selection, motivation, development, leadership and MBOs)
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills (writing, listening, communication, and presentation)
  • Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally (i.e., R&D, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.)
  • Pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to efficiently recognize gaps and implement or enhance processes
  • Ability to track and synthesize information coming in from various sources
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel and planning systems)
  • Excellent time management and prioritization
