Job Description:

The Sr Inventory Coordinator will assist the Supervisor and Manager in daily activities such as work area assignments, problem solving, training, and ensuring all receivers follow correct policies and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, tracking materials, ensuring quality, maintaining budget parameters, monitoring inventory levels, and improving efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintains accurate records of all materials and supplies in stock
  • Performs inventory management tasks, tracking materials in stock and ensuring that they are stored properly
  • Ensures that materials meet the required quality standards, carrying out inspections and testing materials according to organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintains budget parameters by ensuring materials are procured at the best possible price to drive continuous organizational growth and financial stability
  • Monitors inventory levels to ensure that there are adequate quantities of essential items while avoiding overstocking or wastage
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all material-related transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure accurate reporting
  • Administers new employee training on the proper use of materials and equipment to ensure that all area members follow established policies and procedures
  • Ensures that all materials stored and handled within the facility comply with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Researches and identifies areas for improvement in the materials management process, and implements changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

  • One year experience in a windows based environment
  • One year experience in purchasing, receiving, shipping, and/or inventory control
  • One year computer experience in a Windows with good knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in training others on policies and procedure

Nice to have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem solving ability
  • Experience with Manufacturing Practices – Writing SOP’s and/or Work Instructions
