Job Description:

PagerDuty is seeking a Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer 4 to join our Incident Analysis team. As a full-stack engineer, you will work with your team to help enhance the post-incident review experience for PagerDuty customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a high-performing team focused on having a major impact on incident lifecycle management at PagerDuty.

Job Responsibility:

  • Utilize best practices in software engineering to architect, code, test, and deploy high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements and adhere to internal standards
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver features on time and within scope
  • Solve technical challenges while helping to scale the product to keep up with demand
  • Participate in the team’s on-call rotation, triaging and addressing production issues as they arise
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability and performance of integrated solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
  • Use analytical skills to clarify questions, share approach, and collaborate with the team to build and test elegant solutions

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer working on customer-facing applications
  • Proficiency with at least one of the following programming languages and frameworks: JavaScript / NodeJS, TypeScript / React, Python, Ruby on Rails, Elixir, or Java
  • 3+ years of experience working with React
  • Experience designing, building, and operating large, enterprise-level systems against scalability, availability, and performance requirements

Nice to have:

  • Experience deploying and operating services in AWS and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with agile (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) delivery methodologies
  • Experience working at a SaaS company with more than 1000 employees and $100M in revenue
  • Experience building or consuming GraphQL APIs using Apollo (server/client)
  • Experience being on-call for services and familiarity with incident response and/or post-incident review best practices
