PagerDuty is seeking a Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer 4 to join our Incident Analysis team. As a full-stack engineer, you will work with your team to help enhance the post-incident review experience for PagerDuty customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a high-performing team focused on having a major impact on incident lifecycle management at PagerDuty.
Job Responsibility:
Utilize best practices in software engineering to architect, code, test, and deploy high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements and adhere to internal standards
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver features on time and within scope
Solve technical challenges while helping to scale the product to keep up with demand
Participate in the team’s on-call rotation, triaging and addressing production issues as they arise
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability and performance of integrated solutions
Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
Use analytical skills to clarify questions, share approach, and collaborate with the team to build and test elegant solutions
Requirements:
8+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer working on customer-facing applications
Proficiency with at least one of the following programming languages and frameworks: JavaScript / NodeJS, TypeScript / React, Python, Ruby on Rails, Elixir, or Java
3+ years of experience working with React
Experience designing, building, and operating large, enterprise-level systems against scalability, availability, and performance requirements
Nice to have:
Experience deploying and operating services in AWS and Kubernetes
Familiarity with agile (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) delivery methodologies
Experience working at a SaaS company with more than 1000 employees and $100M in revenue
Experience building or consuming GraphQL APIs using Apollo (server/client)
Experience being on-call for services and familiarity with incident response and/or post-incident review best practices
