The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for administrative business activities, including financial analysis, budget management, and risk assessment. The role involves working on ad hoc projects, summarizing budgets, and providing recommendations, as well as collaborating with other teams to improve processes and drive compliance with regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Summarize budgets and submit recommendations for the approval or disapproval of funds requests
analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls
review budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with procedures and regulations
monitor the preparation of regular and special budget reports
provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis and fiscal allocation
analyze budgetary/accounting data and provide financial recommendations
gather and verify the accuracy of financial records
assess risks when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with laws and safeguarding Citigroup.
Requirements:
2-5 years of business analysis experience required
experience creating documentation within standard development methodology
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on MS Excel
intermediate/advanced English proficiency
demonstrated skills in presentation and planning (leadership, tracking, and reporting to management)
proven ability to make sound commercial decisions
advanced execution capabilities and the ability to adapt quickly to changes and reprioritize
experience in creating and implementing processes that improve business performance
ability to present a compelling argument for ideas and initiatives by listening and articulating a persuasive point of view
proven interpersonal, diplomatic, data analysis, management, and prioritization skills
consistent demonstration of clear and concise written and verbal communication
proven ability to manage multiple activities and develop working relationships
self-motivation and proven ability to quickly learn new tasks.
