Job Description:

The Sr. Building Services Technician is responsible for attending to guest repair requests, preventive maintenance, and general maintenance tasks. This includes repairs and troubleshooting in areas such as plumbing, electrical systems, landscaping, and more. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge in general maintenance and engineering-related tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
  • Carry equipment like tools and radio
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
  • Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge about maintenance procedures
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on plumbing and electrical components
  • Program TVs
  • Perform repairs on landscaping
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Move, lift, carry, push and pull objects
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers

Requirements:

  • Driver’s License
  • High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
  • Basic knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building
  • Basic computer skills
