Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Software Engineering. The candidate will drive AI adoption, improve efficiency, and ensure best-in-class infrastructure services. They will collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to implement innovative solutions and deliver high-impact outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

Report to the Global Head of Infrastructure for CIB & HBEU Technology on day-to-day delivery
take part in the organization strategy design and execution
lead the integration and adoption of AI technologies to enhance operational efficiency
utilize AIOps capabilities to analyze data from IT operations tools, generate reports, and enable proactive detection and resolution of issues
actively engage product end-users to understand customer requirements
work collaboratively with engineering teams and CTO to improve product efficiency
identify and lead innovations or initiatives for efficiency and quality improvements
drive modernization of on-premises and cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness
build and maintain relations among end-users, product teams, and management teams at HSBC Technology
collaborate with Service Management Disciplines to ensure adherence to service management best practices
ensure high-quality outcomes aligning with business requirements
execute a vision to plan, deliver, and support solutions in a complex technology environment
communicate clearly with technical and non-technical individuals.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of generative AI technologies and lead AI initiatives
strong, credible technical background with extensive knowledge of technology platforms and infrastructure (including but not limited to Unix, Databases and Middleware technologies)
extensive experience on cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
proven experience in designing and implementing infrastructure automation solutions
experience with AIOps platforms and tools
proven problem solver who can lead from the front when required
customer focus with proven capabilities in listening to customer requirements
proven ability to navigate HSBC teams and structures
self-motivated and willing to learn and take responsibilities
passionate and driven to push the development and adoption of the product in the wider organization
proven experience in managing senior stakeholders and coordinating global teams
excellent communication and writing skills
articulate, fluent in English and Cantonese.
