Job Description:

HSBC is seeking a Sr. Associate Director, Software Engineering in Pune, India. Responsibilities include translating detailed designs into robust solutions, leading an engineering team, and managing production incidents. Requirements include 12+ years of experience, knowledge of AWS, CI/CD tools, and Camunda Workflow Engine. Agile practices and strong technical skills are essential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be responsible for translating detailed designs into robust, scalable and reusable solutions that deliver exceptional user experience driven by the product teams
  • Familiar with atleast couple of different languages, enabling front end and back end development and well-versed in at least one
  • Use the latest enterprise application technologies, processes and tools to deliver frequently, safely and efficiently
  • Able to translate requirements and high level designs into low level design for engineering team. In some cases should be able to lead the design work end to end collaborating with all relevant stakeholders
  • Keen to collaborate with others, and you’ll give thought about how software fits into the bigger picture
  • Able to lead an engineering team and ensure quality deliverables within agreed timelines. Understand team member skill & capacity to aptly assign work
  • Able to manage production incidents and engage right stakeholders to address incidents promptly
  • Experienced in Continuous Delivery practices and how they affect product quality and delivery
  • Experienced with a range of agile practices and understand how and why they work
  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Requirements:

  • Require 12+ years expereince overall as a full stack engineering lea
  • PaaS/IaaS – AWS, API gateway
  • CI/CD - tools such as Jenkins, Git, GitHub, SonarQube, Nexus
  • Agile Tooling – Jira, Confluenc
  • Application Monitoring – Splunk, AppDynamics, Cloudwatch
  • Spring Boot and Tomcat
  • DevOps processes and experience
  • Strong understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery
  • Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban
  • Camunda Workflow Engine 7.20+, Camunda 8.0, BPMN2.0, Java 8+, APIs(RESTFUL), SpringBoot, Spring Integration, JPA, Hibernate, Groovy, Jenkins (creating jobs for build/deployment), Database(Postgres, Oracle), Maven, IDEs(Eclipse/Spring Tool Suite/ Rational/IntelliJ/Visual Studio), Postman, React.js, Angular.js, ECMAScript, CSS3, HTML5, Node.js, React, Redux, Yarn, Babel, PM2, Github, Browser debugging capability, AWS experience, Knowledge of AWS API Gateway, Cloudwatch and other common AWS services

Additional AWS services and AWS SDK, Terraform, APIs(SOAP)
