Job Description:

Robert Half has partnered with a fast growing Wholesale/Retailer to hire their next Sr. Accountant in Farmers Branch, Texas. The role involves reviewing and overseeing the work of staff accountants, preparing schedules and posting general ledger journal entries, preparing and posting daily cash entries, and more.

Job Responsibility:

Review and oversee the work of staff accountants
Prepare schedules and post general ledger journal entries related to their area of responsibility
Responsible for preparing and posting daily cash entries
Responsible for all aspects of Balance Sheet accounts assigned including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, audit schedules, and overall follow up of old items or reviewer notes
Account reconciliations
Prepare Bank reconciliations and propose journal entries
Participate in the monthly close process of reviewing variance analysis & cost centers
Help with requests from others and from auditors
Work on special projects and requests as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ Totals years of paid accounting experience with 1+ as a senior accountant
1+ Years in Public Accounting a plus but not required
CPA candidate or CPA a plus

Nice to have:

1+ Years in Public Accounting
CPA candidate or CPA
Strong Microsoft Excel including familiar with various formulas
Experience with SAP
Familiar with wholesale/retail industry and general ledger activities
