Job Description:

The role primarily involves reconciliations, month end close, processing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role will also entail supporting the finance team in improving accounting procedures and internal controls.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure timely and accurate procedures for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for balance sheet and income statement accounts
Prepare and maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses
Support the finance team in enhancing existing accounting procedures and internal controls
Contribute to the preparation of footnotes and schedules for external statutory filings
Prepare audit schedules for quarter-end and year-end, as necessary
Review contracts to determine and implement the proper accounting in accordance with US GAAP
Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting department
Support ad-hoc projects as required
Apply GAAP and relevant internal accounting policies to transactions and document white papers to memorialize interpretations and conclusions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records

Requirements:

Applicant must have a strong background in Accounting within Biotech industry
or have audited Biotech companies as a Big 4 CPA
Sr. Accountant with Public/Private background and an Active CPA
Experience in Month End Close procedures is required
Knowledge of either SAP or NetSuite is crucial for this role
