Job Description:

We are in the search for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure adherence to all company policies
Contribute to financial process improvements
Liaise with external service provider to ensure escheat compliance
Coordinate the consolidation and reporting of financial results to company officers and parent
Facilitate the processing of payroll and maintain communication with payroll service provider
Take charge of accounting, analysis, and reconciliation for designated business units
Strategize on filing and compliance for sales, use tax and property (personal, real estate) tax
Conduct timely and accurate processing of customer credit applications
Maintain precise records of customer credit
Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action
Partner with market leaders to analyze financial results, support forecast and budget development, and ensure their completeness and accuracy
Lead assigned projects or initiatives to their successful completion while providing regular progress updates to the team and management

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the Printing/Publishing industry
Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
Solid understanding of general ledger functions
Ability to prepare and review journal entries
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Experience with month-end close procedures
Familiarity with Workday ERP system
