Job Description

The Sr Vendor Performance Manager is an individual contributor role that manages vendor relationships to ensure service delivery aligns with organizational goals and compliance requirements. It oversees vendor performance, contract lifecycle activities, and collaborates with internal teams to optimize outsourced services. The Vendor Performance Manager differentiates by integrating vendor management with risk mitigation and spend optimization across multiple business units. It establishes and enforces supplier compliance governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal policy standards through structured audits and performance controls. Success is measured by vendor compliance, service reliability, cost management, and effective stakeholder engagement. The work supports organizational efficiency and customer satisfaction through reliable vendor partnerships and contract management.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage vendor contracts and ensure compliance with Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, and internal controls to mitigate risks
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives and policies to improve vendor management practices and support financial performance
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to align service delivery expectations and enhance reliability
  • Lead communication and escalation processes to resolve vendor performance and service delivery issues promptly
  • Monitor vendor performance through scorecards and metrics, providing feedback and conducting evaluations to drive improvements
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • Acceptable areas of study include Business, Finance, Engineering or related field
  • 4-7 years - Telecommunications/Wireless Industry Vendor Performance Management– experience in the areas of Engineering, Finance or Carrier Management desired or equivalent combination of education and experience.
