We're looking for a Senior UX Designer I (L8) to lead experience design for the Routine Management System (RMS) within Byte Coach — a critical platform that translates operational standards into daily restaurant execution. This role owns design direction across a complex, multi-surface product area, shaping how routines are authored, managed, and experienced at scale. You will work independently to frame problems, align cross-functional partners, and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that improve usability, adoption, and operational clarity. This is not a production-only role — you are expected to define experience direction, resolve ambiguity, and influence decisions across product and engineering within your domain.
Job Responsibility
Lead end-to-end design for RMS product areas, from discovery through delivery, across multiple workstreams
Define and evolve experience direction for complex workflows (e.g., routine authoring, configuration, execution)
Translate highly structured, operational logic into intuitive, usable systems for both corporate users and restaurant teams
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to align on priorities, scope, and success metrics
Reframe ambiguous or poorly defined problems into clear design opportunities
Drive consistency and scalability through contribution to shared patterns, frameworks, and systems
Facilitate cross-functional alignment through workshops, critiques, and clear storytelling
Identify gaps in current product or process and introduce improved approaches, tools, or interaction models
Influence design and product decisions across teams through strong rationale, user insight, and business context
Requirements
5+ years of product design experience in complex, system-driven environments
Proven ability to lead design for a product area or set of features independently
Strong experience solving ambiguous, multi-stakeholder problems with no clear precedent
Demonstrated ability to connect design decisions to user needs and business outcomes
Experience collaborating deeply with Product and Engineering to ship end-to-end solutions
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners
Nice to have
Experience designing for operational, enterprise, or workflow-heavy systems (e.g., SaaS, logistics, compliance tools)
Familiarity with systems involving roles, permissions, configurations, or rule-based logic
Experience contributing to or evolving design systems and scalable UX patterns
Track record of improving product quality through new frameworks, interaction models, or process improvements
Experience working on products that balance global standardization with local flexibility
