PDF Solutions is redefining the way the semiconductor industry approaches data, analytics, and experience design. As part of our journey, we're building Next gen platform — a modern, human-centered analytics platform. We believe design systems aren't just about consistency — they're about scalability, collaboration, and performance. We are looking for a senior designer/developer to join our multidisciplinary design team with strong design and technical fluency, who can own and evolve our design system across Figma and React. You'll define patterns, components, and documentation so design and engineering ship consistent, accessible, and scalable experiences. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that the design system is not only visually consistent but also optimized for performance, scalability, accessibility, and maintainability. You will establish strong relationships with engineering, design, and product to understand their challenges, deliver solutions that help, and position the team as essential partners in shipping great products.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with our UI specialist to design new custom components based on product needs in Figma and React
  • Manage and define system tokens across Figma and React
  • Create documentation and guidelines for the design system to be used by development teams across the organization
  • Continuously improve component libraries, ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability across all platforms
  • Optimize components for handling large datasets and high-performance requirements, ensuring smooth performance under demanding conditions (e.g., real-time data visualization, large-scale processing)
  • Ensure alignment with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and performance best practices in all components
  • Mentor and guide junior developers on the best practices for building and maintaining dynamic UI components
  • Debug and optimize existing components for better performance and user experience
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile environment to deliver components on time and ensure they meet design specifications
  • Stay up to date with emerging UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our design system
  • Balance confidence and humility, communicate clearly, welcomes feedback, and build trust through collaboration
  • Show strong operational discipline, with reliable presence, ownership of daily tasks, and accountability for deliverables and team commitments

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional design engineering fluency across modern product environments, including 3+ years of design system experience
  • Portfolio or case studies showing design-focused technical expertise across multiple projects, showcasing thoughtful, high-quality work that drives innovation
  • Experience with component-driven development and UI frameworks such as Material UI, Bootstrap, or custom component libraries
  • Demonstrated ability to convert static designs into dynamic, reusable components with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Strong understanding of design patterns, atomic design, and modular CSS architecture
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript and React with experience developing scalable and reusable components and component libraries
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Deep understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to resolve them
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for creating clean, efficient, and scalable code
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to debug complex UI issues efficiently
  • Experience with accessibility standards and performance optimization
  • Professional-level English communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong grammar and clarity
  • Ability to present work and thinking confidently to larger audiences, such as in demo sessions or stakeholder reviews, communicating design intent and rationale clearly

Nice to have

  • Experience designing and validating data-rich interfaces, including charts, dashboards, and visualizations, often in collaboration with Data Scientists or Developers to ensure clarity and usability
  • Comfortable exploring and leveraging AI-assisted design tools to enhance prototyping, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate design iteration
  • Familiarity with Cursor AI or similar AI/ML-enabled tools, and prompt engineering is a plus
  • Advocates for design thinking best practices, promoting usability, user focus, empathy, and design quality while balancing business goals and technical constraints
  • Strong understanding of foundational UX principles, design heuristics, information architecture, usability, accessibility and inclusive design practices
