Calibrates, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots instrumentation and equipment for laboratory and manufacturing plants to ensure conformance to established calibration standards
Carry out planned or unplanned maintenance and repair activities on a wide range of electronic equipment and process control and safety systems
Provide solutions to complex equipment, instruments and control system problems
Records the information accurately on forms provided and work orders
Consults manufacturers manuals, circuit diagrams, schematics, specifications, P&IDs, and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, chemical composition and other variables in manufacturing and processing
Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitter, final elements and controllers, or remove and replace defective parts
Work closely with the technical service technician, supervisor and planner to target maintainability issues at lower cost and improve productivity
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports
Attend all service calls in a timely and cost-effective manner
Requirements
Associate Degree as Instrumentation Technician
Four to Five years experience in calibration and maintenance of chemical process plants for instrumentation and control systems
Ability to communicate in Spanish and English
Ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, schematics, testing instructions and specifications
Ability to operate electronic test equipment
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose problems, make adjustments, repair and obtain settings and calibrate instruments and control systems
