The Senior Technical Specialist is an application expert with deep knowledge of company products and application equipment in assigned ePower/battery markets. This role partners with commercial, R&D, and marketing teams to quantify product value, advise business leaders and customers, and drive adoption through demonstrations, startups, and ongoing technical support. The position influences innovation, supports strategic accounts, and ensures reliable, data-driven performance outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Troubleshoot complex application, product, and equipment issues and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Serve as a subject matter expert across ePower applications and product lines, providing technical guidance internally and externally
Partner with commercial teams to support new business development and strategic account conversion
Build and maintain strong relationships with key battery OEMs and AEMs within assigned markets or regions
Deliver data-driven testing results, technical reports, demonstrations, and presentations to customers and internal stakeholders
Own and support dispensing equipment for the ePower product line, including engagement with dispensing partners
Train customers, commercial leaders, and internal teams on product performance, applications, and best practices
Identify customer risks, application gaps, and emerging market needs, providing recommendations for improvement
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, and Global teams to foster innovation and new product development
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Experience working in the Chemical, Adhesive, or Battery industries
Extensive experience troubleshooting complex technical or application issues
Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to influence and gain alignment
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and exercise sound judgment
Willingness to travel to customer sites, audits, and demonstrations as required
Ability to travel up to 40%
Nice to have:
Experience supporting OEMs/AEMs within battery, ePower, or advanced manufacturing markets
Hands-on experience with dispensing equipment, preventative maintenance, or equipment modification
History of supporting strategic or key accounts in partnership with commercial teams
Experience collaborating with R&D on new product development or innovation initiatives
Strong presentation and technical reporting skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
