Job Description

Technical Program Managers (TPMs) at Zuora play a critical role in driving execution across large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within the Product & Technology organization. As a TPM, you will partner closely with product managers, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to plan and deliver high-impact programs. This is a mid-level role where you’ll focus on program execution, coordination, and delivery excellence. You’ll thrive if you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and able to navigate complexity in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with product managers and engineering teams to translate roadmaps into actionable program plans
  • Drive program execution, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, Cloud Ops, Release Management, and Product Operations
  • Identify risks, manage dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery
  • Provide regular program visibility through status updates, dashboards, and stakeholder communications
  • Track progress against defined commitments and ensure accountability to delivery milestones
  • Support annual and quarterly planning processes by aligning team execution with roadmap priorities
  • Continuously improve delivery processes, tools, and practices to drive efficiency and predictability

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of relevant program or project management experience in SaaS, cloud platforms, or enterprise software
  • Proven success delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs
  • Working knowledge of system design concepts and modern software architectures
  • Strong expertise in Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and program tracking metrics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — effective with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Anticipate risks and manage dependencies across teams, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing delivery impact
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Hands-on experience with program management tools (JIRA, Confluence, dashboards)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to have

  • SaaS experience in billing, payments, commerce, or platform engineering
  • Experience with microservices, APIs, or public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Certifications such as CSM, PMP, or SAFe Agilist
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
  • Prior technical background (e.g., developer, QA, or technical product manager)

What we offer

  • Industry-leading six-month, 100% paid parental leave
  • Programs to support your mental health
  • Programs to give back to our communities
  • “Career cash”
  • Plenty of learning and development opportunities
