The CE&S Customer Experience Architecture (CXA) team is dedicated to applying our technical depth and subject matter expertise to deliver keystone innovations that transform customer experience and accelerate business value. The CXA Architecture Programs, Strategy & Execution (APSE) team drives strategic, cross-functional customer architecture cloud program initiatives that drive business impact through collaboration, technical depth, and operational rigor. By aligning with customer experience goals and Microsoft priorities, we ensure quality execution, transparent engagement with stakeholders, and timely delivery of durable innovation. As the Senior Technical Program Manager in CE&S CX Architecture team, you will drive critical engineering focused rhythms as part of our commitment to customer experience. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate cross team collaboration skills, understanding of the product lifecycle and deep technical acumen, and ability to deliver against key initiatives. You will gain a unique perspective of what we do and how it impacts customer outcomes. You will work closely with leaders across the organization as you play a critical role.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead execution of complex technical programs spanning multiple feature areas, owning delivery against technical roadmaps, milestones, and defined success criteria
  • Drive technical orchestration and integration across engineering and cross‑functional teams by translating business goals into executable technical plans and dependencies
  • Partner closely with Software and Hardware Engineering to align on architecture, sequencing, and implementation of complex technical solutions across feature areas
  • Develop and manage end‑to‑end technical program plans, including schedules, dependencies, risks, and release readiness across multiple feature groups
  • Track and support technical governance to ensure programs meet quality, compliance, privacy, security, safety, and accessibility requirements throughout the development lifecycle
  • Identify and manage technical risks and dependencies, using data and signals to provide actionable insights and drive informed decision‑making and course correction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos)
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter
