Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Denver, Colorado. This role is ideal for a highly skilled individual with a strong background in managing corporate tax compliance and provision processes. As part of the education industry, you will play a key role in ensuring adherence to federal and state tax regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and income tax provisions
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, including indirect tax and sales & use tax requirements
  • Manage entity formation processes and provide guidance on tax implications
  • Coordinate annual tax provision reporting and ensure accuracy
  • Utilize OneSource and other tax software tools to streamline tax processes
  • Conduct thorough reviews of federal tax returns and related documentation
  • Monitor indirect tax compliance and address any discrepancies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address corporate tax issues
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve tax efficiency and compliance

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate tax management
  • Expertise in preparing and reviewing annual income tax provisions
  • Proficiency in handling federal income tax and corporate tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of indirect tax compliance and sales & use tax
  • Familiarity with tax software such as OneSource
  • Solid understanding of entity formation and related tax implications
  • Ability to interpret and apply federal and state tax regulations effectively
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills to manage complex tax processes
