We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Tax Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Miami, Florida. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can independently manage tax-related processes while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, handling complex tax preparation and audit support with minimal supervision.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and manage individual, corporate, and sales tax returns with precision and efficiency
Oversee the tax filing process to ensure timely and accurate submissions
Collaborate with auditors and respond to organizational requests related to tax matters
Handle sales and use tax compliance, including preparation and reporting
Execute ad hoc accounting projects and provide managerial-level support as needed
Monitor changes in tax regulations to ensure compliance and advise on necessary adjustments
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tax preparation workflow
Provide expert guidance on tax preparation and filing requirements
Ensure all tax-related documentation is properly organized and maintained
Requirements:
Extensive experience in preparing individual, corporate, and sales tax returns
Strong knowledge of sales and use tax regulations and compliance requirements
Proven ability to manage tax filing processes independently and with minimal supervision
Familiarity with audit procedures and the ability to support organizational audit requests
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Proficiency in tax preparation software and accounting systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
