Job Description:

We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Tax Accountant for our Rutherford, NJ based client. In this role, you'll be expected to handle federal and state tax preparation activities, including compliance and provisioning. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where attention to detail and proficiency in CorpTax and Excel are integral to success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and manage state and federal tax compliance activities
  • Oversee tax provisioning processes
  • Utilize CorpTax software for efficient tax operations
  • Use Excel for maintaining and analyzing tax data
  • Work in mid-sized to large companies context, understanding their specific tax requirements
  • Ensure corporate income tax compliance
  • Prepare and submit corporate tax returns
  • Handle annual tax provision tasks
  • Ensure compliance with income tax regulations

Requirements:

  • Must possess comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Corporate Income Tax
  • Proficiency in Corporate Tax Compliance and Corporate Tax Return is mandatory
  • Familiarity with CorpTax Software is a must
  • Prior experience in handling Annual Tax Provision is required
  • Must demonstrate a strong understanding of Federal Income Tax
  • Proficiency in Income Tax Provision and Income Tax Compliance is essential
  • Candidate should have a proven track record in a similar role within the consultancy industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
  • a Master's degree is preferred
  • Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly desirable
