Job Responsibility

  • Administer and support Windows-based infrastructure, including servers, storage, operating systems, and applications, ensuring performance, availability, and recoverability
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, IIS, RDS, file/print)
  • Lead server lifecycle activities including upgrades, migrations, virtualization, and cloud integrations
  • Troubleshoot escalated Tier 2/3 system and infrastructure issues
  • Monitor system performance, security, and capacity
  • recommend improvements and required hardware/software changes
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery, and system restoration efforts
  • Oversee Microsoft SQL Server environments including backups, patching, and performance tuning
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of systems administration or infrastructure experience
  • Strong Microsoft ecosystem experience (Windows Server 2012R2–2019, SQL Server, Exchange, IIS, RDS)
  • Office 365 administration experience (SharePoint/OneDrive preferred)
  • VMware experience (ESXi 7+, HA, DRS, clustering, snapshots, virtual networking)
  • Patch management and PowerShell scripting experience
  • Solid networking fundamentals (firewalls, VLANs, routing/subnetting, VPNs)
  • Basic cybersecurity knowledge (Sophos Central a plus)
  • vulnerability scanning familiarity
  • VoIP PBX experience (SIP trunks, PoE phones, IVR, softphones)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
