Position Overview: Adheres to Hunter Douglas values and complies with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements, including but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), safety and environmental management systems, company policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Supplier Audits: Conduct system/process audits as part of the supplier release process, define the regular process audit plan for existing suppliers, and perform shipment quality verification and release
Complaint Handling: Address non-conformities found in materials, notify the supplier, and ensure permanent resolution of issues
Preventive Activities: Analyze quality data from multiple sources such as product audits, incoming inspections, and customer complaints to identify focus areas and execute supplier development activities
Report and communicate critical supplier quality issues and the status of corrective actions to production managers
Generate required reports and documentation related to process quality issues (raw materials)
Select, define, and/or optimize testing methods, materials, and equipment for measurement and testing
organize their procurement when necessary
Define, organize, and execute instructions to verify raw materials in the incoming inspection area
Generate Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) and follow up with suppliers
MRB (Material Review Board) administration
Supervise Incoming Quality Inspectors
Requirements:
Advanced English proficiency, with strong fluency in both written and spoken communication (90% in English)
Organized, proactive, and team-oriented
Conflict management and problem-solving skills (8D's, 5 Whys)
Knowledge of geometric tolerancing, MSA, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, and control plans
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Supplier quality certification
Completed professional degree: Industrial, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum of three years of experience in a similar position
