As a Sr Supervisor, Automation, you will play a vital role in driving technological innovation and maintaining the seamless operation of our assets. Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and supervise automation and maintenance technicians and coordinators
Develop and introduce project changes to boost manufacturing processes, quality, and output performance
Write user manuals and technical documents, including Software Management Plans (URS, SD, DQ, Test Plans, Traceability Matrices, User/Operating Manuals with Troubleshooting Guides, and Spare Parts Lists with Vendor Part numbers)
Take part in the transfer process to identify fixtures, evaluate equipment, and outline transfer requirements
Perform build qualifications for machines
Develop innovative solutions for manufacturing and transfer processes
Complete equipment qualifications driven by new ideas, transfers, or improvements
Write and complete validation protocols and perform equipment validation on process changes
Generate corrective actions to eliminate the root causes of quality issues, scrap, equipment downtime, and safety issues
Provide technical training support to manufacturing operators, maintenance technicians, and peers
Actively engage in the creation of automation projects from concept to implementation
Establish and maintain a customer-supplier relationship with other manufacturing areas
Build and update equipment maintenance programs in collaboration with manufacturing areas
Coordinate capital project VIP developments
Coordinate with outside contractors on facility projects
Perform routine assignments related to larger projects, providing experience and familiarization with engineering methods, techniques, theories, corporate and division SOPs, policies, and projects
Solve routine build and engineering tasks with some assistance, solving problems with periodic monitoring
Assist in the preparation and participation in technical reviews and coordinate data and documentation for assigned projects
Observe all company and regulatory EHS requirements
Always maintain data privacy and confidentiality
Learn and practice basic ergonomic principles to reduce job-related discomfort and injuries
Identify and evaluate risks and environmental aspects within your area of responsibility, implementing appropriate controls and noticing emerging risks
Ensure personnel under your supervision are trained and aware of the risks and environmental factors related to their area
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or a comparable field)
5 years of experience in the automation sector or a related area
Proficiency in Building/Drafting Tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Experience with Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Experience in configuring and crafting HMI/OIT systems (e.g., Allen Bradley, National Instruments, Maple Systems)
Familiarity with Industry Standards UL and CE
Knowledge of Vision Systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence)
Familiarity with various Motion Controllers/Actuators (e.g., IAI, Yasakawa)
Strong troubleshooting skills for control system issues
