As Senior Subject Matter Expert (Sr. SME) you will deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements, drive technological advancements, and provide subject matter expertise in the area of SAP BASIS and HANA. Facilitate engineering alignment across the domain, by promoting modern software engineering principles, fostering technical synergies across teams and service areas as well as leading the implementation of engineering initiatives at (sub-) domain level. Promoting the culture and values of the organization in all interactions and deliverables, advancements and providing subject matter expertise in the SAP and S4 HANA - BASIS and HANA Admin.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements, drive technological advancements, and provide subject matter expertise in SAP BASIS and HANA
  • Facilitate engineering alignment across the domain
  • Promote modern software engineering principles
  • Lead the implementation of engineering initiatives at (sub-) domain level
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and challenges
  • Design, review, and architect solutions within IKEA's technology-process-delivery ecosystem
  • Provide SAP Infra technical guidance to development teams
  • Troubleshoot, analyze defects, and offer preventive actions
  • Analyze the current landscape, goals, and challenges to suggest continuous improvement and innovation
  • Anticipate future hurdles and develop mitigation strategies
  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance BASIS solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of IKEA's business processes
  • Apply critical thinking to navigate complex issues and make informed decisions
  • Work with enterprise and domain architects and business stakeholders to adopt new technologies
  • Ensure alignment and value delivery across various organizations within Ingka
  • Maintain the technology strategy and roadmap
  • Build POCs on new solutions and technologies
  • Support management in tactical and strategic initiatives
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on technology/platform architecture
  • Help define and promote solution architecture and enterprise architecture standards
  • Manage solution architecture analysis, design, build, test and deploy

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in SAP BASIS
  • HANA Database Admin
  • Microsoft Azure Administration
  • Ansible scripting
  • POC and POV creation
  • Track record of working as an Architect and delivering impactful results
  • Experience of leading a team of engineers
  • Proficient with SAP BASIS Automations tools like LAMA
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert understanding of the functional and technical area in the context of overall business processes
