Uber Direct is Uber's last-mile delivery-as-a-service platform, enabling merchants across verticals like food, grocery, retail, and e-commerce to deliver orders placed on their own channels-outside Uber's app-using our vast courier network. Beyond direct merchant relationships, we also collaborate with third-party logistics providers to deliver an end-to-end logistics solution at scale. As a Sr Strategy & Operations Manager for Uber Direct CASA, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and high-performing experience for both couriers and merchants. Your mission: build efficient, scalable operations that fuel growth, satisfaction, and long-term success. This role blends strategic thinking, data-driven problem-solving, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration with local and regional stakeholders (Marketplace, Commercial, Product, and more).
Job Responsibility:
Improve operations and merchant experience: Partner with Commercial teams to identify operational inefficiencies and develop scalable solutions that improve onboarding, service levels, and overall merchant satisfaction
Turn insights into action: Analyze data, experiments, and performance trends to identify opportunities, uncover key drivers, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations
Optimize operational processes: Design, test, and continuously improve operational flows to enhance courier efficiency and merchant performance
Drive cross-functional execution: Collaborate closely with regional, product, and other operations teams to identify and execute high-impact initiatives, remove roadblocks, and ensure progress against core operational metrics
Fuel growth: Lead high-priority, strategic initiatives that directly support the growth, scalability, and long-term success of Uber Direct across CASA countries
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in operations, strategy, analytics, or a related role (preferably in a tech or startup environment)
A problem-solver mindset, focused on identifying root causes and implementing scalable, long-term solutions
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
able to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong analytical skills, with advanced SQL proficiency for data extraction and business analysis
experience building dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
Proven ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders, aligning priorities and driving execution with accountability
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have:
Experience using Python for automation and advanced data analysis
A hands-on, proactive attitude-ready to challenge the status quo, lead from the front, and roll up your sleeves when needed
Experience in last-mile logistics, marketplace operations, or platform-based business models
