Job Description

The Sr. Staff Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will work to investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality issues detected during ZT’s manufacturing process or from customer field failures. The SQE will work with Customer, Product and Manufacturing Quality Engineers to help drive component quality issue root cause investigation and corrective action implementation at suppliers. Job duties include conducting supplier audits, analyzing supplier manufacturing data and defect trends, leading continuous improvement projects and coordinating overall quality activities related to components and suppliers.

Job Responsibility

  • Investigate, analyze and resolve supplier quality issues detected during ZT’s manufacturing process or from customer field failures
  • Work with Customer, Product and Manufacturing Quality Engineers to help drive component quality issue root cause investigation and corrective action implementation at suppliers
  • Conducting supplier audits
  • Analyzing supplier manufacturing data and defect trends
  • Leading continuous improvement projects
  • Coordinating overall quality activities related to components and suppliers
  • Contributes to the development, maintenance and improvements of supplier quality policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Data System Management, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ year of relevant experience is required
  • Min 5 years of direct working experience on supplier quality management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Experience with Server and Rack Power Engineering (PSUs, power shelves, PDUs) or Thermal Management components (liquid cooling thermal plates, manifolds, heat sinks and fans) including knowledge of designs, manufacturing methods, PFMEAs and failure modes desired
  • Ability to learn, implement and use Statistical Process Control tools to make data driven decisions
  • Self-motivated, defining and closing all engineering tasks to meet project objectives
  • Detailed oriented to cut to root of problems, follow up to verify the actions are adequate
  • Ability to learn quickly with limited information or support
  • Experience with Quality Management System is a plus
