Job Responsibility

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities for multiple business entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and consistently across each operation
  • Prepare and analyze general ledger reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and maintaining the integrity of financial data
  • Manage journal entries, bank reconciliations, and other core accounting tasks needed to support a timely and accurate close process
  • Maintain fixed asset records, including asset capitalization, depreciation tracking, and supporting schedules
  • Assist with monthly close activities and help deliver completed reporting within established deadlines
  • Compile financial statements and provide reporting support to leadership for operational and financial decision-making
  • Work closely with the Controller on budgeting support, forecasting activities, and special financial analyses as business needs arise
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and control across a multi-entity accounting structure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including senior-level accounting work
  • Demonstrated experience handling accounting responsibilities in a multi-entity environment
  • exposure to multiple industries is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger activity, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Experience with fixed assets, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
  • Construction accounting experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting
